Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how fawltreno uses them on this website, and how you can control analytics and marketing cookies. This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly.

What cookies are (and what counts as “similar technology”)

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help a site remember actions and preferences (for example, whether you have accepted or rejected non-essential cookies) and can also support security functions like session continuity.

When we refer to “cookies” in this policy, we also mean similar technologies that can be used to store or read information from your browser or device, such as pixel tags (sometimes called web beacons) and local storage. These tools are commonly used to measure how a website is used, to understand which pages are helpful, and to attribute advertising performance (for example, when an ad click later leads to a registration request).

Cookie lifespan and origin

Cookies can be grouped by how long they last and who sets them:

  • Session cookies exist only during your browser session and are usually deleted when you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period (for example, 90 days or 12 months), unless you delete them earlier.
  • First-party cookies are set by this website.
  • Third-party cookies are set by third-party services integrated into a site (for example, analytics or advertising providers).

How we categorize cookies

We use three categories. The labels match what you see in our cookie banner and cookie preferences panel:

1) Essential cookies (always on)

These cookies are required for the website to function. They support core features such as session continuity and remembering your cookie consent choice. Essential cookies do not require consent because the site cannot operate properly without them.

2) Analytics cookies (consent required)

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the website. For example, they can show which pages are visited most often, how long people spend on a module overview, and which navigation paths lead to the registration form. We use this information to improve clarity and reduce friction, not to identify you personally.

When enabled, analytics is typically provided through Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymization and a standard retention setting of 14 months for analytics data in the platform.

3) Marketing cookies (consent required)

Marketing cookies help measure advertising performance and show relevant educational offers. They can be used to understand whether an ad click later results in an on-site action (such as submitting the registration form). They may also be used to build audiences for remarketing or lookalike campaigns.

Examples include Google Ads cookies (such as a conversion linker) and Meta cookies used by the Meta Pixel. If you reject marketing cookies, these tags should not activate and marketing identifiers will not be set by our site.

Cookie table

The table below lists common cookies that may be used on this site. Not every cookie will be present for every visitor; it depends on your preferences and whether certain tools are enabled after consent.

Name Purpose Category Type Retention
_site_session Site session continuity Essential First-party Session
cookie_consent Stores your consent choice Essential First-party 12 months
_ga GA4 user identifier Analytics Third-party 2 years
_ga_XXXXXXXXXX GA4 session state (10-character GA4 ID) Analytics Third-party 2 years
_gcl_au Google Ads conversion linker Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbp Meta Pixel browser identifier Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbc Meta Pixel click identifier Marketing Third-party 90 days

Third-party providers

If you consent to analytics or marketing cookies, data may be processed by the following providers acting as service partners:

We do not permit these providers to use site data for their own independent commercial purposes. Each provider may process data under its own terms when acting as a controller for certain services; details are described in their privacy notices.

How to manage your cookie preferences

You can control non-essential cookies at any time:

If you reject analytics or marketing cookies, we will not set those cookies from this site and we will attempt to remove relevant identifiers (for example, _ga or _fbp) if they exist. Essential cookies remain active because they are required for site operation.

Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the tools we use (for example, if we add or remove analytics services) or when laws and guidance change. When changes are material, we will post an updated version on this page and refresh the “Last Updated” date. If a change affects consent requirements, we will request consent again where applicable.
